Knowing they are okay. Without watching them.
Wellytic is a wellness-monitoring product. The thesis: the right answer for an aging parent or a recovering patient is neither a camera in the bedroom nor a wearable they will not wear. It is a sensor that does not see and does not listen, mounted to the ceiling, reporting one thing well: the rhythm of a normal day.
Who Wellytic is for
The four audiences are detailed at /for-families and /for-care-homes. In short:
- Adult children of independent-living parents.
- Adults recovering from surgery or hospitalization, alone or temporarily so.
- People with epilepsy living alone.
- Spouse caregivers, especially older couples.
- Care home, assisted-living, and memory-care operators.
Integrations
Wellytic uses a trust stack of integrations: Veritize (data-integrity signing), RelayOne (audit substrate), and the optional Heroa BC sovereign Canadian deployment.
You do not need to care about any of that to use the family kit. If you run a care home with audit, regulator, or insurance reporting requirements, the trust stack is what produces those reports.
Co-founder context
Wellytic came out of a personal observation. Founder Eric MacDougall watched a family member age in place and noticed that the available products fell into two camps that both missed the mark: cameras that broke the dignity of the cared-for person, and wearables that ended up on a nightstand within a week. The product brief for Wellytic is the gap between those two: neither, in a way that holds up at 3am.
Hardware partner is DFRobot for the radar modules. Cloud, app, and audit substrate are first-party.
